Is solar right for your home?
Solar PV can work well for many homes — but it's not suitable for every property in every situation. During a free assessment, we look at the factors below honestly, and tell you if something isn't going to work.
Roof orientation and pitch
South-facing roofs at an angle between 30–50° perform best, but east/west-facing roofs can still generate well.
Shading
Trees, chimneys, neighbouring buildings and dormer windows all affect output. We look at this carefully during the site visit.
Roof condition and size
The roof should be in reasonable condition and have enough unobstructed space for the panels you need.
Your energy use
The more you use during the day, or can shift to daytime hours, the more directly useful your generation will be.
Your tariff
Smart export tariffs, time-of-use tariffs and the SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) all affect the financial picture.
Future plans
An EV charger, heat pump or extension changes what makes sense now. We ask about this at the start.
On savings: We won't quote you a specific number of years to payback or a guaranteed bill reduction — these depend on too many variables we can't control. What we can do is explain what your system is likely to generate and how to get the most from it.

Site visit
We visit the property to assess the roof, electrics and anything that affects the design.
System design
A proposal tailored to your roof and usage — with clear explanation of what it includes and why.
Installation
Carried out properly, with minimal disruption and a clean finish. Usually one to two days.
Handover
We walk you through how your system works and what to expect from it.
Aftercare
We remain available after installation. If something's not right, we want to know.
